MATH IS EVERYWHERE

Did you know that your child is practicing basic math skills when she helps you set the table or pick out apples at the grocery store? Or even when she matches socks from the laundry? That’s right. From the minute your child wakes up until the second she goes to sleep at night, her day is filled with potential math moments—and you can bring these moments to life.

It’s easy to do math at home or on the go with your preschooler. Look for simple objects to count, measure, and organize. There are numbers and shapes to see, sizes of things to compare, and problems to solve. You can even find math in your child’s favorite books!

Making math a part of your daily routines right from the start helps your child know that math is fun—and important.
