Libraries and Books Storytime

It's fun to come to the library to read books, but also to come to programs such as storytime, movie time, craft time, to get homework help, or to use the computer to surf the World Wide Web.

At our Toddler Time, we sang:

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Turn Around.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Touch the Ground.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Show Your Shoe.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

I love you!

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Take a Look.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Read a Book.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear

Work and Play.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,

Have a Wonderful Day!

To the tune of row, row, row your boat:

Read, read, read a book,

Travel anywhere,

Worldwide, you decide,

A book will take you there.

Read, read, read a book,

Beginning to the end,

What a way to spend the day,

A book's a special friend!

Fingerplay:

Here is my book (put hands in shape of book with palms facing to yourself)

I open it wide (open hands in and out)

To see all the pictures,

that are inside.

We read Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn and Rosalind Beardshaw; and Book! Book! Book! by Deboarah Bruss
